Pierce County Hunger Walk - Sunday, Oct. 2, 2011

Save the Date! Once again the Food Connection will be participating in the annual Pierce County Hunger Walk, sponsored by Associated Ministries of Pierce County. More than 1,000 participants are expected to gather at Fort Steilacoom Park in Lakewood to fight hunger one step at a time.

Half of the funds raised by the Hunger Walk go directly to the Emergency Food Network, which disributes food to nearly 70 food banks, shelters and hot meal sites throughout Pierce County. The other 50 percent of the funds are designated by participants to the hunger agency of their choice.
